Born in New Hampshire and raised in New Mexico, Anne Staveley graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1993. Descending from a long line of photographers, Anne started taking pictures as a young girl, using the camera to connect people to the people around her. Since then, she's made portraiture a virtual science, distilling the invisible essence of her subject into an endless array of captivating photographs. Anne lives in Santa Fe NM.
